Elsewhere

Part of the Modern Loneliness series, Elsewhere draws from the quiet beauty and restraint of the Italian Old Masters, particularly Raphael. Soft light and a luminous blue ground contrast with the figure’s distant expression, allowing sadness to exist without becoming overt. The work is both a study of solitude and an homage to the painters who came before—borrowing the visual language of the past to explore a distinctly modern sense of loneliness.
